YARMOUTH — The pharmacy at the Hannaford on Route 1 in Yarmouth was burglarized sometime late Tuesday or early Wednesday but it was not immediately clear what had been stolen, police said.
A Hannaford employee reported the burglary at 7:19 a.m. on Wednesday. An inventory was still being done to determine what was taken, according to Yarmouth Police Chief Michael Morrill.
Hannaford said that the supermarket remained open, but the pharmacy was closed to assist police in the investigation.
Morrill said the investigation was still in the early stages and additional details would be released later. As part of the investigation, police went on the roof. He did not elaborate.
