LEBANON — Maine State Police are investigating a rollover in which the driver fled the scene.

According to Lebanon Rescue, the accident was reported around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday night.  When crews arrived at the site on Lower Guinea Road between Mills Road and Hartford Drive, there was no driver in the area.

They said the car apparently hit a tree, rolled over onto its roof and came to rest, upside down, in the road.

The road was closed for about a half hour and the car, which was destroyed in the crash, was towed from the scene.
