SACO — A Massachusetts man, who police allege has been selling crack cocaine in the Saco-Biddeford area for several months, has been arrested by agents from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Gary Richardson, 33, whose most recent address was Hyde Park, Mass., was arrested Monday at an apartment at 60 Lincoln St. Also seized from the apartment were 38 grams of processed crack with an estimated street value of $3,800.

Steve McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety, said Richardson has been charged with trafficking crack cocaine. He allegedly has been selling drugs in the Saco and Biddeford area for six months.

Undercover agents, who placed an order for cocaine, followed a suspect to the Lincoln Street address on Monday and witnessed the sale of the drug by Richardson.

Also known as “J.P.”, Richardson was arrested by drug agents and officers from the Saco Police Department. Richardson is being held at the York County Jail on $5,000 cash bail.
