FALMOUTH — Falmouth police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at 8:20 a.m. at the Irving Little Mart at Route 1 and Bucknam Road.

A clerk at the convenience store was heading to his car with a deposit when he was confronted by a man who pulled a gun and demanded money, police said.

The suspect is described as an older, balding, white man wearing cutoff denim shorts, a black T-shirt and sunglasses. He drove off in a black Nissan Maxima that had no license plate on the back.

The vehicle was last seen heading north on Route 1.

Police ask that anyone with information call 781-2300.
