BELFAST — The father of a 25-year-old Maine man charged with murder in the shooting death of a Florida firefighter has been indicted on drug trafficking and possession charges.
WABI-TV reports that prosecutors say 56-year-old Gary Porter of Jackson had more than a pound of marijuana that he planned to sell.
Porter’s son, 25-year-old Daniel Porter, is charged in the fatal shooting of 31-year-old Jerry Perdomo, of Orange City, Fla., last February.
Police say the killing took place at Gary Porter’s home in Jackson and stemmed from a dispute over a drug debt that Daniel Porter owed Perdomo.
