EAST KINGSTON, N.H. — A 1-year-old boy is recovering in a hospital after he fell into a New Hampshire river and was rescued by his father.
David Towse said his son, Bradley, somehow got through a childproof door Wednesday morning and ended up on a dock in the backyard of their home in East Kingston.
Towse said when he went outside, Bradley was face down in the Powwow River.
He tells WMUR-TV Towse quickly removed him and held him upside down to squeeze his chest and get the water out. He brought Bradley inside to start CPR. The boy came to in about 20 seconds and Towse called 911.
Towse said it was terrifying thinking that his son might not make it.
