Two views of South Portland’s Legion Square, in 1958 and in 2013. The photo from 1958 was apparently unused in print, and so the names of the children are unknown.
The historic photo comes from the Portland Room collection at the Portland Public Library, where the photographic negatives from the Portland Press Herald, Maine Sunday Telegram and Portland Evening Express are currently being archived and catalogued.
