PORTLAND — Forest Avenue is blocked off because of a disabled train at the Woodfords Corner railroad crossing.

A detour has been set up at the busy corridor, but motorists are asked to seek alternative routes, said city spokeswoman Nicole Clegg.

The incident happened shortly before rush hour began, and is expected to back up traffic.

Few details were immediately available.
