High school baseball, softball regional finals postponed

As of 2 p.m., all but two of the regional lacrosse championships scheduled for today are still on.

Due to the weather, the regional championship baseball and softball games scheduled for today at St. Joseph's College have been postponed to Thursday by the Maine Principals' Association.

The schedule will be as follows on Thursday:

WESTERN MAINE BASEBALL
at St. Joseph's College
CLASS B: Cape Elizabeth (10-8) vs. Falmouth (15-3), 7 p.m.
CLASS D: Buckfield (16-1) vs. Valley (9-6), 3 p.m.

WESTERN MAINE SOFTBALL
at St. Joseph's College
CLASS B: Fryeburg Academy (17-1) vs. Greely (16-2), 3:30 p.m.
CLASS D: Richmond (15-1) vs. Rangeley (13-3), 7:30 p.m.


As of 2 p.m., the regional lacrosse championships scheduled for today are still on except for the Cheverus at Brunswick girls' game, and the Yarmouth at Freeport girls' game. Both have been rescheduled for Thursday at 4 p.m. The schedule is as follows:

BOYS' LACROSSE
WESTERN CLASS A: Kennebunk (11-3) at Scarborough (12-1), 6:30 p.m.
EASTERN CLASS A: Cheverus (10-4) at Deering (9-5), 7 p.m.
WESTERN CLASS B: Cape Elizabeth (12-1) at Falmouth (12-1), 7 p.m.
EASTERN CLASS B: North Yarmouth Academy (8-6) at Yarmouth (9-5), 5:30 p.m.

GIRLS' LACROSSE
WESTERN CLASS A: Marshwood (11-3) at Scarborough (13-1), 4 p.m.
EASTERN CLASS A: Cheverus (9-5) at Brunswick (13-1), Thursday, 4 p.m.
WESTERN CLASS B: Waynflete (11-1) at Cape Elizabeth (13-0), 5 p.m.
EASTERN CLASS B: Yarmouth (7-6) at Freeport (7-6), 4 p.m., Thursday, 4 p.m.
