BANGOR — Husson University in Maine is holding a candlelight vigil for a 21-year-old student who was found dead in her home last week.
The vigil for Brooke Locke is being held on Sunday at the university’s campus bell tower.
Zachery Mailloux of Bangor has been charged with murder in Locke’s death.
Bangor police said they found Locke’s body while responding to a complaint of domestic violence.
The university says Locke was a third year occupational therapy student who was expected to graduate in 2016. Mailloux was also a student at Husson.
The university says the vigil is being organized by members of Locke’s sorority. Speakers will include Husson President Robert Clarke.
