Exit 24 off the northbound lanes of Interstate 295 near Freeport will be closed from 7 p.m. Monday until 6 a.m. Tuesday for last-minute road repairs, the Maine Department of Transportation said Monday evening. Ted Talbot, spokesman for the Maine DOT, said the decision to close the on- and off-ramps of Exit 24 was made late Monday after resources were suddenly made available. Road crews will be repaving, patching and performing other light repairs on the exit ramps. Electronic message boards along I-295 will advise drivers of alternate routes.
