BRUNSWICK — A Brunswick man has been arrested following a lengthy investigation into a robbery at Game Stop that took place nine months ago.

Janra Rodriguez Baltazar, 26, was charged Tuesday with Class A robbery by Brunswick police.

Detective Sgt. Martin S. Rinaldi said Baltazar was taken into police custody during a traffic stop around noon on the Old Bath Road. Police also searched his home at 12C Street, a mobile home park located near the Merrymeeting shopping plaza and collected evidence.

Rinaldi said a man entered the Game Stop store at Merrymeeting Plaza around 1:30 a.m. on the morning of Nov. 11. The suspect displayed a firearm to the store manager before taking off with more than $2,000 cash.

Police do not believe that Baltazar is the person who displayed the weapon but they do say he was directly involved in the crime. An image of the suspect has been developed from a video surveillance camera that recorded the robbery.

Baltazar is being held at the Cumberland County Jail on $5,000 cash bail. He is scheduled to appear in Cumberland County Superior Court on Nov. 20.
