Lewiston police investigate late night stabbing

LEWISTON — Lewiston police are investigating a late night stabbing.

Lt. David St. Pierre says the victim was stabbed near the intersection of Blake and Birch streets just after 10 p.m. Tuesday.

He tells the Sun Journal the male victim was taken to Central Maine Medical Center.

The victim's name and condition were not made public.

Police cordoned off area streets as officers looked for evidence.

There was no word of arrests.
