Portland police charged a local man with robbing the Dunkin Donuts at One City Center on Sunday just before 6 p.m.
The man threatened that he had a gun and demanded all the money in the register. But the clerk – instead of complying – retreated to a back room.
The man was masked but when police reviewed the security video they saw someone with the same clothes and matching the description in the shop earlier without a mask.
Police circulated the photo among officers and identified the suspect as Zachary Tuttle, 22.
He was arrested Monday afternoon and charged with robbery.
