FREEPORT — Maine Democratic Party activists and supporters are gathering for their big annual fundraising event in Freeport.
The Muskie Lobster Bake is set for Sunday at Wolfe's Neck Farm in Freeport. Democrats say funds raised at the event will be used for legislative races as they try to win back State House majorities they lost two years ago.
U.S. Reps. Mike Michaud and Chellie Pingree of Maine and other candidates are expected to attend.
Last year's Muskie Lobster Bake was re-billed as a Hurricane Party as heavy rain and high winds from the remnants of Hurricane Irene arrived in Maine.
