Maine gas prices down another 4 cents

The Associated Press

AUGUSTA — Maine drivers are getting more good news at the gas pump.

The average retail cost of a gallon of gas has fallen more than four cents in the past week to $3.50.

Price-monitoring website MaineGasPrices.com reports that prices in Maine are now below the national average of $3.53 per gallon.

Maine prices are now almost 21 cents lower than they were at the same time last year and more than 26 cents lower than one month ago.

A company analyst says the election in Greece could stir up oil prices as markets feel more upbeat about the global economy.
