Officials from 35 airports meeting in S. Portland

The conference is dealing with a variety of aviation and airport issues including airline recruitment, route development and marketing.

SOUTH PORTLAND — Representatives from 35 airports and a dozen airlines are in Maine discussing the future of airline services.

The two-day Eastern Airports Conference is being held Wednesday and Thursday at the Marriott at Sable Oaks in South Portland.

The conference is dealing with a variety of aviation and airport issues including airline recruitment, route development and marketing.

Airport representatives will also have one-on-one opportunities with airlines to discuss what services they can offer to the airlines.
