LINCOLN — Police in Lincoln, Maine, are investigating the theft of $8,200 from a local Boy Scout troop over a two-year span.
Chief William Lawrence says a troop leader reported the theft a couple of months ago. He says a suspect has been cooperating with police, describing how the money was taken.
Lawrence told the Bangor Daily News that he will present the case to the district attorney and seek charges through a grand jury in the coming weeks. He said the suspect could face felony theft charges.
