AUGUSTA — Law enforcement officers say a Maine toddler found floating face down in his family’s pool more than two weeks ago has died.
The Kennebec Journal reported that 2-year-old Cody Campbell of Farmingdale had been on life support at the Portland hospital after he was pulled from the above-ground pool by his mother on June 13.
The Kennebec County Sheriff’s office says he died Friday afternoon.
Cody was at home with his mom, two siblings and two friends when he went missing and was found in the pool. A sheriff’s deputy says it appeared he went outside, climbed the pool’s ladder and fell in.
