BANGOR — A 24-year-old Maine woman is being arraigned for murder in the death of her 2 ½-year-old daughter.

Leanna Norris of Auburn is scheduled to appear Friday in Penobscot County Superior Court in Bangor.

Norris was indicted last week on a murder charge in the death of her daughter, Loh Grenda, whose body was found around 3 a.m. June 23 in Norris’ car in the central Maine town of Stetson. Police believe the girl was killed in the neighboring town of Newport.

The medical examiner has ruled the death a homicide, but autopsy results haven’t been released pending the results of additional tests.
