AUGUSTA – The Maine Warden Service on Saturday evening scaled back a search for two missing hunters who have not been seen since Friday morning.

The warden service said the search for Travis Hafford of East Millinocket and Ryan Stevens of Millinocket will resume Sunday morning.

The two 33-year-olds were last seen early Friday when they left to go hunting near Chamberlain or Clayton Lake. They were due back by dinnertime Friday.

The men were riding in Hafford’s silver 2006 Chevy extended cab pickup truck with Maine license plate number 5936 SC.

Several game wardens and two warden service aircraft searched for the men Saturday.

Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-924-2261.
