A Portland man accused of stabbing an out-of-state visitor during a robbery was scheduled to appear in court today to face aggravated assault charges.
Matthew J. Bradley and Carrie Ann Schlosser.
Portland police arrested Matthew J. Bradley, 26, in the city's West End Tuesday night. His arrest came an hour after a woman who police say was an accomplice in the robbery, Carrie Ann Schlosser, 26, turned herself in to police.
Schlosser was issued a summons to appear in court.
Police say an out-of-state couple whose child is being treated at Maine Medical Center, was walking on Congress Street at Mellon Street Monday night when they were accosted by Bradley and Schlosser.
Schlosser allegedly grabbed the woman's purse and when the victim's husband intervened, Bradley stabbed him, police said.
