WATERBORO — A 47-year-old man died Monday afternoon while trying to move an ATV that became stuck in mud on a Waterboro trail.
Corporal John MacDonald, spokesman for the Maine Warden Service, said the man had been operating a Polaris side-by-side, two-passenger ATV when it became stuck.
The man and two of his friends were in the process of pushing the machine out of the mud when a “medical event” took place, MacDonald said.
The man died on the trail. The victim’s name is not being released at this time.
The incident took place around 2 p.m.
