Man killed by cement truck in Berwick

BERWICK – A 55-year-old man was hit and killed by a cement truck Friday at Seacoast Redi Mix plant.

Berwick police were notified shortly after 10 a.m. of the accident in the plant driveway on Portland Street.

Police officers and rescue crews were unable to revive the man, who worked at the plant, according to Capt. Jerry Locke.

Other employees at the plant witnessed the accident, according to police. Police have not released the names of the victim or driver.

A joint investigation with Berwick police and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration is ongoing.
