Minor crashes clog northbound traffic on I-295

FALMOUTH — A couple of minor traffic accidents on Interstate 295 northbound in Falmouth are causing major delays during the Tuesday night commute home.

A state police dispatcher said the first crash took place around 4:43 p.m. near Exit 9 in Portland, and the second crash at 4:36 p.m near Exit 11 in Falmouth.

No injuries were reported but traffic is reportedly backed up for several miles between Portland and Falmouth.
