Missing Maine man found in Vermont

KILLINGTON, Vt. — A missing Maine man has been found in Vermont.

Vermont State Police say the 25-year-old was found in Killington early Thursday morning after a six-hour search.

The man, whose name was withheld, was reportedly experiencing a mental health crisis and was believed to be in the Killington area.

Crews searched an area between Killington Peak and Deer Leap on Thursday night during a significant thunder and lightning storm.

The man was found around 2 a.m. but needed medical attention. He was taken to Rutland Regional Medical Center by ambulance.
