CHATHAM, Mass. — More sharks have been spotted prowling the waters off Cape Cod.

Officials say great white sharks were spotted in the waters off Chatham on Sunday and Monday.

The shark spotted Sunday within 100 feet of the beach was about 15 feet long.

A shark spotted Monday evening about 200 yards offshore was estimated at 14 feet and appeared to be hunting for seals, a favorite meal of sharks.

Three tagged sharks were spotted in the area last week. A shark was spotted off Orleans early last month.

Chatham officials say the sightings did not prompt any beach closures and none are planned.
