N.H. woman accused of sexually assaulting 11-year-old

The abuse of the boy has been going on for years, according to a police affidavit.

The Associated Press

FARMINGTON, N.H. — A 51-year-old New Hampshire woman is facing charges that she sexually assaulted an 11-year-old boy.

Laura Faas of Farmington was arraigned Monday on charges of aggravated felonious sexual assault, felonious sexual assault, false imprisonment and witness tampering.

She did not enter a plea to most of the charges but pleaded not guilty to false imprisonment.

An affidavit from police says the abuse of the Strafford boy has been going on for years.

Foster's Daily Democrat reported that police are investigating whether there are other potential victims.

Faas is being held on $15,000 cash bail. She indicated to the judge that she plans to seek her own lawyer.

Farmington is in Strafford County, along the Maine border.
