Route 100 in New Gloucester is likely to be closed for four to five hours after a car collided with a utility pole.
The crash happened at about 3 p.m. Initial indications were that injuries were minor.
Nontheless, the road will have to be closed as crews work to repair the pole and the wires that were brought down.
The crash is located at the intersection of Lewiston and Morse roads.
