New Gloucester man dies in ATV crash

Police say 32-year-old Brock Thompson was pulling out of a driveway and onto the road Sunday when he lost control and hit a tree.

NEW GLOUCESTER — State police say a New Gloucester man has died after the all-terrain vehicle he was operating struck a tree.

Police say 32-year-old Brock Thompson pulled out of a dirt driveway and onto the road at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday when he lost control and hit the tree.

A neighbor heard the crash and called 911.

Trooper Jodell Wilkerson says Thompson was not wearing a helmet and sustained major head injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
