Old Town man gets 3 years in prison for robberies

The Associated Press

BANGOR — An Old Town man has been sentenced to three years in prison for his role in robberies last year in Veazie and Milford.

Anthony Patricelli was sentenced Monday at the Penobscot Judicial Center to eight years in prison will all but three years suspended, and three years of probation.

He pleaded guilty in March to taking part in robberies at the Veazie Mini Mart and a home in Milford in November. A pellet gun was used in both robberies.

WABI-TV reports that the 20-year-old Patricelli said in court that he had been using drugs at the time but took responsibility for his actions.

The judge said he took into account the fact that Patricelli had no prior record.

A co-defendant previously received a six-year sentence.
