Sens. Barbara Boxer, D-California, and John McCain, R-Arizona, also guest star in the episode, entitled "Ms. Knope Goes to Washington."

In the episode, which airs at 9:30 p.m., characters Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) and Andy Dwyer (Chris Pratt) visit Ben Wyatt (Adam Scott) and April Ludgate (Aubrey Plaza) at their new jobs in the nation's capital.

Scott talked up the episode recently on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," saying that he found Snowe and Boxer to be "such smart, sophisticated women."

"I just found myself being kind of undeniably attracted to them," Scott said. "I found them to be totally, totally beautiful in every way."

Kimmel asked Scott if he found himself equally attracted to McCain.

"I was," Scott said. "He is a beautiful, beautiful man."

First elected to Congress in 1978, Snowe is coming to the end of her third six-year term in the U.S. Senate. She is not seeking re-election.
