BRIDGTON – Bridgton police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that took place Wednesday afternoon on Kansas Road.
Police Chief Kevin Scholfield said authorities will not be releasing the person’s identity until their relatives have been notified.
Scholfield said the crash involved a single motor vehicle and a lone occupant. It took place around 2:15 p.m.
Police say it appears that excessive speed contributed to the crash, which is being reconstructed by a crash reconstruction specialist from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department.
