A 65-foot blue spruce donated by Alan Betters of 196 Highland Ave., South Portland arrived in Portland's Monument Square Thursday morning. The tree was transported down Broadway, across the Casco Bay bridge, through Commercial Street and up Franklin Street by crews from the Forestry Section of Portland Department of Public Services. The tree will be lit with more than 3,000 LED lights donated by Efficiency Maine during a 5:30 p.m. ceremony on Nov. 23.
