On-street parking will be banned throughout Portland between 10 p.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday so that public works crews can clear snow.

Vehicles left on the street will be towed and the owners will be charged $135 and pay all outstanding tickets for the release of their vehicles. Owners of unclaimed towed vehicles will also be charged $25 per day.

Impound lots are located at the Ocean Gateway Marine Terminal at 40 Commercial St. Unclaimed vehicles will be towed to private tow company lots at the end of Monday.

Free off-street parking lots are available between 5 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday on the left hand side of Tennis Court Road at Deering Oaks Park, State Street gravel lot abutting Deering Oaks, Fitzpatrick Stadium, Hadlock Field, Portland Public Schools except the Reiche School lots abutting the school and playground, Nathan Clifford School, Adams School on Munjoy Street, Cutter Street lot, Beach Street lot, lot across from the International Marine Terminal and Dougherty Field. Parking is available at reduced rates at many parking garages.

On Peaks Island, parking is available at the Welch Street parking lot, St. Christopher’s Church lot, Brackett Memorial Church lot and the CMP back lot at Island Avenue and City Point Road.
