From staff reports

Much of Maine saw rain and snow turn to freezing rain Monday but Tuesday dawned in shades of pink in Saco.

Portland saw little snow accumulation but plenty of icing Monday. An eight-vehicle crash snarled evening commuters on the Casco Bay Bridge. There were no injuries but two vehicles had to be towed.

The weather forecast calls for temperatures to drop into the teens Tuesday night.
