HOPE — The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the report of fatal, single-car crash that took place Tuesday night on Route 17 in the town of Hope.
Few details on the crash were immediately available, but the sheriff’s office said firefighters from Hope and Union responded, along with sheriff's investigators.
A Lifeflight helicopter was initially contacted and asked to fly to the crash site but was later canceled.
The crash was reported around 8:30 p.m.
