OLD ORCHARD BEACH — The Old Orchard Beach Police Department is calling on the public to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity in the town’s Ocean Park neighborhood.
Old Orchard Beach police said three home break-ins have been reported since last weekend, with an additional two burglaries reported in the last three weeks. Burglars have targeted homes in and around Randall Avenue. All of the homes in the oceanfront neighborhood that have been burglarized were unoccupied.
Police say there is no reason for alarm but are urging the public to call 911 if they see any suspicious activity, such as people on foot in the neighborhood or vehicles that are unfamiliar to them.
Anyone with information concerning the burglaries should contact Detective Sgt. David Hemingway at 207-937-5806.
