Police identify 2 killed in Maine crash

Investigators say the SUV went off the side of Route 46, striking a large tree on Thursday. Both occupants were killed instantly.

EDDINGTON

— Maine State Police have identified two people killed in a fatal crash in Eddington.

Troopers on Friday identified the driver as 37-year-old Michael Sullivan of Eddington and his passenger as 52-year-old Susan Derrico of Eddington. Police say the car was registered in her name.

Investigators say the sport utility vehicle went off the side of Route 46, striking a large tree on Thursday. Both occupants were killed instantly. Troopers say Derrico was wearing a seatbelt but Sullivan was not.
