Police look for young, missing Ellsworth man

The Associated Press

ELLSWORTH — Police are looking for an Ellsworth man missing since Christmas Eve.

Police say 28-year-old Jonathan Spinney was last seen at an ex-girlfriend's house in Bangor.

Ellsworth Police Chief John DeLeo said a cellphone that Spinney is carrying has been disconnected.

DeLeo said Spinney has a history of drug abuse and was living recently at Sister Barbara Hance House for the longterm homeless in Ellsworth.

The Bangor Daily News reports that Spinney was last known to be driving a blue 2003 Pontiac Grand Am with license plate number 4290TB. He's described as 6 feet 2 inches tall, with blond hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone with information about where he is, is asked to contact the Ellsworth Police Department at 207-667-2168.
