PORTLAND — An online magazine has ranked Portland and Lewiston as the eighth best restaurant region in the nation.
The Huffington Post based the list on the top 15 metro regions in the United States having the highest number of restaurants per capita, according to city of Portland spokeswoman, Nicole Clegg.
Juneau, Alaska, topped the list, along with New York City and Myrtle Beach.
“Portland’s restaurant scene is an important part of the economy and culture and for anyone who has dined in the city, they would agree that the industry is well-deserving of national attention,” Portland Mayor Michael Brennan said in a press release.
