Police were searching for the 21-year-old, who is described as being a white male, 5-feet-7 inches tall, and weighing about 140 pounds. The suspect was last seen wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt.

Ridge said the stabbing took place at Front Street on West Presumpscot Street. Front Street is a housing project operated by the Portland Housing Authority.
