PORTLAND — The woman whose body was discovered Thursday afternoon in a vehicle in the Motel 6 parking lot has been identified as Margarita Fisenko Scott, 29, of Westbrook, and she was murdered, police said.
The body of a dead woman was found in a car in the Motel 6 parking lot in Portland on Thursday afternoon, January 17, 2013. Police are calling the death suspicious and an investigation is ongoing.

City spokeswoman Nicole Clegg said Friday night that Scott's death was ruled a homicide after an autopsy was conducted by the state medical examiner.
Police are releasing very few details about the case, including the cause of Scott's death.
Scott's was found about 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Scott's Facebook page said she is from Kazakhstan.
Police are asking that anyone who had any recent contact with Scott or information on the case to call them at 874-8604.
