Police say teenage boy made Walmart bomb threat

Police say a prank bomb threat at the Walmart store in Skowhegan was made by a 14-year-old New Hampshire boy.

The call to the Skowhegan store came in just before 9 p.m. Saturday, police said.

Skowhegan Police Chief Ted Blais told the Morning Sentinel that the few customers and workers still inside just before closing were evacuated and a bomb-sniffing dog was brought in, but nothing dangerous was found.

Blais said it was simply a prank. He said the call remains under investigation but he expects the boy to be charged.
