Power out in Portland's West End

Central Maine Power officials say a switch failed around 4 p.m. Saturday, cutting power to about 1,000 customers.

PORTLAND – Central Maine Power Co. officials said a switch failed around 4 p.m. Saturday, cutting power to about 1,000 customers in the city's West End.

CMP said crews are working on the problem and hope to have service restored by about 6 p.m.
