KENNEBUNK — A woman, who is nine months pregnant, and her male accomplice are facing burglary charges following a break-in at a Maguire Road home in Kennebunk on Tuesday.

Kennebunk police on its Facebook page reported Wednesday that a woman returned home to interrupt a burglary in progress.

Police arrested 21-year-old Michael A. Gonyer of Freeman Street in Biddeford on an outstanding Wells Police Department burglary warrant and also charged him with burglary and two counts of violating the conditions of his release.

Ryana C. Garcia, 21, of South Street in Biddeford, was driving the car the pair used to reach the Maguire Road home. She was charged with one count of burglary.

Kennebunk police took Garcia to Southern Maine Medical Center to be checked on because she is nine months pregnant. She was eventually transported to the York County jail. Her bail was set at $2,000 while Gonyer’s bail was set at $5,000.

Police did not elaborate on how they apprehended Gonyer or Garcia.
