The Presumpscot Regional Land Trust has hired its first executive director.
Stefan Jackson of Bridgton, who will fill the new position, has almost two decades of experience working in conservation, according to a press release from the land trust.
Jackson was the director of the diversity program and of the Saco River project at The Nature Conservancy of Maine. Before that, he was the public policy manager at the National Outdoor Leadership School, according to the press release.
Hiring an executive director was one of the goals in the land trust’s five-year strategic plan, the release said.
The land trust has worked to conserve 717 acres in Gorham, Gray, Sebago Standish, Windham and Westbrook.
Its current projects include the Sebago to the Sea Trail project and the conservation of Randall Orchards in Standish and Gorham.
