Rain not helping Maine balloon festival

The Associated Press

LEWISTON - The Great Falls Balloon Festival in Lewiston got off to a rainy start on its second day.

The Sun Journal of Lewiston said some balloons got off the ground before rain began falling Saturday morning, but the weather forecast for the evening launch is more favorable.

The 20th annual Great Falls Balloon Festival is being held at the Simard and Payne Memorial Park in Lewiston. It helps local non-profit groups to raise awareness to their causes. This year's event winds up Sunday.
