Kennebec Journal staff report
A Rangeley man's bail was set Friday at $20,000 cash for the charge of sexual misconduct with a child.
David Paquette, 35, was charged with displaying sexually explicit materials to a child under the age of 12 with the intent of encouraging the child to engage in a sexual act or sexual contact, according to Farmington District Court records.
Farmington District Court Judge Nancy Carlson banned Paquette from having contact with the victim or anyone under 18 years old and from possessing video recording equipment, a computer or any other medium capable of digital video.
She also ordered him subject to search without probable cause.
Paquette was arrested Wednesday by Rangeley police on a warrant after a referral by the Maine Department of Health and Human Services.
As of Monday morning, Paquette had not made bail. His next court hearing is set for Feb. 22.
