Republican Nutting keeps Oakland, Sidney House seat

Incumbent Robert Nutting, R-Oakland, defeated Harry Hayes, D-Oakland, 2,893 to 1,842 Tuesday in the race to for House District 78 to represent Sidney and part of Oakland.

Nutting won 1,499 to 1,013 in Oakland and 1,394 to 829 in Sidney.

Nutting, 65, is the Speaker of the House and said during his campaign that his biggest priority was to get more state residents employed in good jobs.
